Iain
Sad to report I have just been informed that Edgar is now at peace. RIP Edgar - Blue Skies! And, as a Spitfire Man - I think this is fitting: Oh, I have slipped the surly bonds of earthand danced the skies on laughter-silvered wings.Sunward I've climbed, and joined the tumblingmirth of sun-split clouds, and done a hundredthings you have not dreamed of - wheeledand soared and swung high in the sunlit silence.Hovr'ring there, I've chased the shouting wind along, and flung my eager craft through footless halls of air.Up, up, the long, delirious, burning blue,I've topped the windswept heights with easy gracewhere never lark, or even eagle flew. And while with silent, lifting mind I've trodthe high untrespassed sanctity of space, put out my hand, and touched the face of God. Kahunaminor
So saddened to read of this fine gentleman's passing. Like many I knew him only as a name on the forum or email. But he spread a warmth and care about the knowledge he gratiously shared that I came to regard him as a friend and mentor. Iain, thank you for sharing some of his last moments and I am sure he knew you were there. RIP Edgar
