Urs Posted November 11, 2015 Author Posted November 11, 2015 My update of the yesterday work on the firewall. The progress is slowly because Of research and varying appear on some RL sources and of the tiny parts which needs to be drilled out and to be connected. 2 missing parts are not shown here and will be added today. tucohoward and tomv87 2
Urs Posted November 14, 2015 Author Posted November 14, 2015 (edited) 2hours of built just to replace the original kit parts - visible in the foreground.😈😇 l addwd two 1mm brass tubes bent them into shape and polished. I also used a boot of a litz wire to rebuild rubber pipe collar. All parts in glued just on one side only to remove. Edited November 15, 2015 by Urs tucohoward, tomv87 and monthebiff 3
Urs Posted November 15, 2015 Author Posted November 15, 2015 To be honest l feared the new bigger tube would not fit. This time l use a 1.5mm brass tube to replace the kit part to be seen in the foreground. Short after first bent l had to drill 1.0mm to sold in a coolant filling hose. Plug will be added later. tomv87 1
Urs Posted November 15, 2015 Author Posted November 15, 2015 (edited) Just finished the coolant line on the opposit side. Now l'll go for some wiring of the firewall and the ignition wires of the engine. Edited November 15, 2015 by Urs tomv87, leoasman and D.B. Andrus 3

mozart Posted November 15, 2015 Posted November 15, 2015 I love detailing engines.......but there's no way I could aspire it that level of skill or patience. Simply amazing work Urs. Max Urs 1
Urs Posted November 29, 2015 Author Posted November 29, 2015 Well, now l'm fed up with wires/lines and things.😅😅 The lines and wire still running wild on the firewall will be connected after the paint job. Today l did the ignition lines on the engine sides and on top of the rocker housing. That prominent part Tamiya missed to model - strange.😴 Now l go further with the cockpit..... The thin copper wire running across the whole engine is not yet connected and will be fixed after afinal asm. mywifehatesmodels 1
