RBrown
Tamiya XF71 for British interiors, but note that there is strong evidence for silver painted wheel wells in factory production Tempests. Edited May 25, 2015 by RBrown
A340 Pilot
Yes, that's my impression as well. Airframe Silver for the wells, legs and door interiors. Stein
Edgar Brooks
Wrong, Typhoons were silver, Tempests were green (as were late Mark Spitfires.) Aluminium was always a problem, and became quite acute late in the war, so green replaced silver in many areas (even MH434's rear fuselage is green inside.) hayaman
1st thanks for info-yes,int and w.wells in Tempest were green,i have the documentary about it(see it in y.tube)and although B-W it s clearly shown in many views that they are a dull colour compared with legs and wheels, also in closeups INSIDE the wells chiping is obvious and makes an obvious contrast with main colour-cheers
