If your going to that much trouble have you thought about looking into the cowl openings too? As far as easy to pic out visual inaccuracies on the kit (of which I dont think there are too many actually) to me they are much more noticeable than the waist windows, and IMHO they really detract from the look of the finished model if not modified. Take a look at a good head on shot of the 1:1 Mitchell cowls and compare it to the HK cowl openings and youll see what I mean. Looking forward to more!! lucgeenen666 Posted July 9, 2015 Author Share Posted July 9, 2015 We played the Graspop Metal Meeting in 2008, on the same day that Iron Maiden played headliner, so you could say we were special guest for them.(yeah right) I know Brain, the cowl openings are too small, and indeed, that is more noticeable than the waist windows. If I hadn't put in all the ribs, I wouldn't have noticed it myself. But looking back, I'm happy to have done it. It's only now that I do see the difference. I'm just not a big fan of sanding, pollishing and rescribing, which made me doubt at first if I was ready to go through all that trouble. But job done and to me, it does look better. I should be deeply ashamed, it has been more then 3 months since my last post, I had to look for my topic on page 18. Found a new job and I work long hours, so not much time for modelling. But I did manage to finnish the inside of the port fuselage half. I'll let the pictures do the talking. The last few days, I closed up the fuselage. But I still have to take some pictures. It has been more then two months since my last update and I also noticed, looking back at all the pictures I've already taken, that I'm working on this one for almost a year now. So time for an update. I got the fuselage together, foiled and decaled, got both wings ready and one foiled, both engines are ready, so there is progress. But let the pictures do the talking. First of all Phil, nothing is ever inadequate, you model how you want, when you want , what you want making the model look how you want it to look. And when you are happy with the way it turns out, then it doesn't matter what anyone else thinks of it, so, never inadequate. Concerning the "plumbing" of the office, I don't exactly know what you mean, but for making all the stuff that wasn't included in the kit or the eduard detail set, I use mainly plasticard, different sizes of iron wire, stripped boxcable, aluminium food plates, aluminium foil, guitar strings and even my own (long) hair. Yes you are correct, "plumbing" is all of the cables, pipes etc within the cockpit or elsewhere in the fuselage.
