tomv87 226
Thanks for the heads up David. Im in for theese on USS Bunkerhill, and they had some wear and tear.... Note the exhaust stains.....on belly....interesting....i like it. Note them flaps and some panels, and the panel just behind thje cowling flap... Interesting indeed.... /Mal Your choice of light gray instead of white for the undersides now makes sense. Looking at the relationship between the white star and the underside color on this pic...the values are quite different. Nice choice of colors and an excellent paint job! Mal_Belford 3,551
Tristan....it will be light and subtle, as this one is overall good condition Aircraft....but Little wear and tear will be.... More done... Walkways..... Mask of.....then black....mask the outline, Tamiya rubberblack, add water, sprinkle some salt, lighter shade of rubberblack, remove the salt, even lighter Shade Tamiya rubber black very diluted.....remove masking tape....it. Will be Darker when clear coat comes on top, yes subtle /Mal MARU5137, tucohoward, Sparzanza and 4 others

Mal_Belford 3,551
Thanks....But... Anyone noticed my goof?.......not a big deal many may say, but im the one that going to live with it...hell no i wont, and seeing it every day... Te walkway is not straight, ive used the inner panel line as landmark...dont do that, it supposed to be align with the outer folding edge.....yes theese thing drives me nuts.... Nothing to do but wetpaper and water 2000-2500grit, patience.... and done...very diluted gloss over the walkways so it darkeness and the effect of light war is there just subtle... /Mal Bill Cross, tomv87, Harrison90 and 4 others

Bill Cross 4,333
I don't see the goof. Can you circle it or something? Mal_Belford
Mal_Belford 3,551
O I don't see the goof. Can you circle it or something? I don't see the goof. Can you circle it or something? Off course i can, not circle but in lines....when noticed it is annoying....as ive used one inner panel line as reference, and that is wrong, use the edge of the folding as guide and it will be correct... My goof.... Corrected....much much better....not a big deal...but hey im the one that going to live with it....and at this stage better to correct it than ignoring it and redo it later when much more work is done.... /Mal Edited July 28, 2015 by Mal_Belford MARU5137, Volture, BiggTim and 2 others
