pilot and crews figures by Reedoak

Norbert, do you think there is any chance of modern flight crew in just flying suits without life vests or g-suits etc? I'd like a modern  pilot to pose in front of my modern jets as if he/she were at a flying display. Those guys generally wear their flying suits, occasionally hats or sunglasses but no other paraphenalia.

Ray Ban sunglasses or Oakley ?

Norbert

Got to be Ray Ban, seriously, more timeless, more options.

Not of this quality.

True, but it may be some time before they produce what you'd like, there are also some superb pilots by Doug's Originals

and right down at the bottom

Not to mention ZM, their pilot figures are superb. We're very lucky.

These are superb figures, but I am looking for geared up pilots ready for flight, not casual poses. I am not familiar with Wings and Masterdetails, could you post a link?

Hi

ready now, 1/32 and 1/48

Be sure I listen to all your suggestion.

Will see how the other bomber pilot prints next tuesday

I'm also on the seated helicopter crews, a choice between 6 pilots in different poses if I'm lucky

seated pilots in general is a huge work. You have to choose a model, determinate all dimensions to floor, to stick, back seat angle, to pedals...

and understand how the straps are going, etc... so it's not just a scan work.

But I like challenges

OMG......incredible!

I'll tell you an area that is constantly neglected Norbert (somebody will prove me wrong now!) and that's aircrew and ground crew etc in the tropics: Africa, the Far East, Australia etc.  I'm aware of one or two, I have a Mastercasters figure but it's not terribly good I'm afraid.

Norbert those look great!

As for seated pilots, you could do as Aerobonus has done, make the seated pilots already in the seats for their aircraft.

I know its a big task but, as I see from your work here, yours would be a better detailed product.

Just a thought.

Yes, that's not too much work with WW2 seats or helo seats, but when it comes on bang seats, it's certainly much more to get the compromise between high accuracy and being able to fit the work under models canopy...

Will see how my seated blackhawk pilots will come out now

Have you thought about doing troops for the rear seats in helicopters, sitting on door sill etc or seated in the cabin, plenty of helicopter kits out there that would benefit from a fully loaded cabin, UK and US troops :)

not sure if someone already pointed this out, but it would be nice to see female modern jet pilot figures in both 1/48 and 1/32 :)

Id love to have some standing with helmet in hand, or sitting pose helmet on, climbing ladder with helmet, etc... :coolio:

If such thing already exists please enlighten me :)

I love all the figures Norbert!

Some ideas you might be interested in, a set of ground crew for the 1/24 scale Airfix Typhoon for instance?

Also, not aviation, but we really need some 1/16th scale Panzer crews in different poses and maybe some tank riders too!

Either way, I could well be up for some of the figures shown, absolutely unbelievably good!

Well done!!
