Jasta 14 addict
I picked this WIP just up, sorry for me very late reply Karl. I knew the Trumpy MIG 15 was a difficult kit, but you're way of approach gives us a nice insight about the short comings of this kit. Very nice model you got there Karl, really nice work congrats. Guest Peterpools
Karl Can't believe I'm so late to the end of the party. Went back to page one and followed all your hard work and I tip my hat to both your skills and determination. One terrific looking Mig  Peter

LSP_K2
he asked what the greymatter tail improoves over the kit part. the shape is completely different Thanks for this, it explains a lot. I had debated whether the GM tail was worthwhile, now I can clearly see that it is.
LSP_K2
this is now the final gunblastpanel. heated some self-adhesive foil over steam to get it to stay around the intake lip Is that the Squadron walk around book? I can't really tell.

LSP_K2
yes OK, cool. I have the book (just reviewed it recently in fact), but obviously don't recall every image in it. It's a pretty good book.
amurray
"Thanks for this, it explains a lot. I had debated whether the GM tail was worthwhile, now I can clearly see that it is." As are the GM wing fences for the kit. The kit wing fences are too thick - an obvious error to note. But they also do not extend far enough to the front edge of the wing. One needs to either extend the existing fences or remove them and substitute scratchbuilt or a GM wing fence set.
