scvrobeson
Hey everybody. Thanks to everyone that has followed along with this build over the last couple of months, the Airfix Typhoon was an epic build with tons of detailing and painting opportunities. I had a ton of fun with it, and hopefully everyone enjoys it. I used the Airscale cockpit placards, the BarracudaCast wheels, and Maketar paint mask set for the kit. Did also need two canopies, and I scratched up the whip antennae. Here's the build thread for those interested.http://forum.largescaleplanes.com/index.php?showtopic=53618 Edited March 1, 2015 by scvrobeson Girlscanplay2, Shoggz, 109 and 6 others

Daywalker
Geez Matt, that thing looks absolutely stunning! There are so many little touches to this build that together they are perfect! Add a period photo in the background and you could pass off the photos as those of the real deal. Jaw dropping work! TonyT
Superb weathering but to be honest the darkening along the rivet and skin lines is way overdone in my eyes, you just don't get panel lines like that in real life. You have it spot on where the fuselage roundels are And the shading on the flaps along the rivet lines, but you just wouldn't have black rivet heads all over it. See what I mean In the links, spot a rivet, you can see the odd one that is working, but nothing else.... Bar that superb, though it may be the lighting and photos making it look that way. http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/b/b5/Hawker_Typhoon_fuel_tank_fitting_WWII_IWM_CL_1725.jpg http://www.globalaviationresource.com/v2/wp-content/gallery/rafm-typhoon-to-canada/6803622470_093e9e4b38_b.jpg Edited March 1, 2015 by TonyT
