Erwin
Hi all, This years project is a 24/25 th scale scratchbuild Atlantikwall PAK-40 bunker. Ever since I was a kid ,bunkers have facinated me.Much due to the fact that I live at the Belgian coast where there are still many bunkers and the big "Atlantikwall-museum" It took me a while to find a PAK-40. Untill I came across the Forces of Valor site and saw this pre-build PAK. Edited April 13, 2015 by Erwin

Erwin
I'm going way to fast. This is to be my 2015 project. I don't know why I bodder doing all the inner walls too.Nothing will show once the roof in on.Unless I have a cunning plan I placed the 1/24 th Italeri Opel Blitz ,that I made many years ago,to give an idea of size. Erwin
Present in nearly all the bunkers I've seen is the MG-slot at the entrance ... Note that I changed the corner of the entrance too... Edited January 14, 2015 by Erwin Zero77

dodgem37
Nice work, Erwin. Of course you have a plan! Is the building plan based upon an actual structures' layout or not? Thank you. Sincerely, Mark
Loic
Looking good Erwin I'd make the roof so that it is removable so you will still be able to see the internal when it's finished.
Erwin
Is the building plan based upon an actual structures' layout or not? Mark My bunker is not based on a real one.But it has all the elements of real bunkers. It's more or less a "fantasy" build. But still realistic enough. I added another thing seen on many bunkers. The gun-slot side protection. As this is placed on the right of the cannon, facing the sea, this bunker would have been placed at the right end of a sector to give cross fire to the left over the beach. Some bunkers have this placed left to give right cross fire. There are some that had two to give head-on fire. It was all decided on the spot. Erwin
Made some changes to the PAK-room. It was to big to be realistic. I often visit bunkers and I see them from the outside looking so big and massive only to find very small rooms inside. Erwin
Another thing often found on bunkers is a rooftop MG-position. Some were accessible from the outside and some only from within as will mine be. I had to make a loose section as I need to add metal steps later once I start painting. It fits nicely in the corner.
