Are you a secret cigar smoker?

I was, but stopped smoking about 1 year ago. Never smoked anything since then, just vaping (but i went from 12mg nicotine to 3mg, i think i can even stop vaping in the next year.... less money spent for e-juices = more $$$ for kits !).

I kept a lot of empty cigarillos boxes (hundreds of boxes...). They are very helpful to store small parts, act as a support to paint parts and so on....

Note to self. When you'll build your own P6-E kit, remove bulge from the underwing, place decal, then put bulge back in place and paint it ... Should avoid the problems Nicolas had ...

That's a good idea ! However, you'd have to hold your breath to cut them cleanly as they are quite small and on a flat surface. You will have to saw them without damaging the wing with the saw.

But i keep this in mind for my next P-6E !

I have finished the legs. The masking operation was a bit long, but finally the result is not so bad. As planned, i used the decals as base to make a paper template, which i then modified to adapt the shape of the claws to the tridimensional wheel spats. I even had to adpat the mask (cut in tamiya masking tape) when i applyed them. The second leg was more easy as i had the first one as a reference.

Here straight after unmasking. Still some touch ups to do (because of a few oversprays where the masks were not enough stuck on the surface) :

And a quick dry fit to see what it looks like :

A small update, i finished the propeller today. The baldes are just great, it's not very noticeable on the pictures but the twist is very nicely captured.

I feared that the decals would be quite visible on the polished aluminium, but except if you look at it from very close, it looks ok.

I weathered a bit the propeller hub with dry grease and a bit of dirt.
