Jer
Cheers Chuck for your kind words and cheers Bruce and Mike for your interest and parting with your expert knowledge. As mentioned earlier in my build I'll make up all the wheels I have and will do a comparison to see which works best for me. Blimey it's such a minefield!! Bruce, thanks for the link I checked out your build of the B....veeeery nice!! Hope mine comes out half as well as the finish you achieved! Jer
Bruce from Parts-r-parts kindly donated some test F15C 1/32 resin wheels. Here they are compared to the Tamiya kits ones which I have built. Bruces are on the right. Here are mine attached to main gear as a test..... Many thanks for the set Bruce, I think they look great. Jer
Sanded the back of the grill away on the door to the gun cabinet.......took a while but was worth it. Still undecided as to whether I close up the wheel wells as they're generally closed up when parked but I like how they turned out (earlier picture) : Getting ever closer to finally getting the air gun out! Jer
Zactomodels lovely AIM-9X missiles built and primed. Hasegawa AIM-120 missiles built and primed. I was going to load her up with lots of ordnance but I have now decided to have an AIM-9X and an AIM-120 on the wing pylons and the kits single fuel tank on the centre pylon. Canopy masked and primed. The bird is now all primed up.... Next i'l complete the exhausts and dip them in paint, Whitey
Jer
I did build the kits fuel tank but have decided to use a single GT Resins correct sized fuel tank instead on the central pylon. The other I'm making to keep for another build. They weren't the easiest to construct but with CA glue mixed with talc lots of sanding, Mr Surfacer more sanding it came together well and I am pleased with the finished tank. I obliterated the rivets in construction but decided to just leave an impression of them rather than try and figure out how to make raised ones!
