Bomber_County
I have run into a conundrum, just completed all the tail surfaces for my Birdcage. I have chosen for the elevators to be in the down position. The question is, did you fix these and the rudder in position or allow them to "float" Not sure if this a dumb question or not.........any advise appreciated. David Hansen
Thanks for posting, Ben. I was thinking about that build just a few days ago. Just out of curiosity, have you tried any of the Alclad clear finishes? I'm curious about the "slight sheen" , "matt" and "flat" finishes. My F4U-2 is in the middle of the painting stage right now...... -d-
toadwbg
Dang this thing is gorgeous. Definitely on my to-do list. In fact I have the Trumpeter kit half-built and am not sure I'll ever finish it after have seen the fine Tamiya kit built.
KUROK
Beautiful job on this kit! Hope I can do mine like yours!
benpada
My Corsair is just about done a littler more weathering and a flat coat and going to call it done. Using Cotman water color and pastels for the weathering and some silver pencil some of the chipping. The wear spots around the wing and fuselage was rubbed off with a cotton tip applicator and alcohol. Its been well over a year on the model but it a great kit. Thanks for looking. Also like to thank Kevin, dodgwm37, Bomber County, Vandy, David, toadwbg, KUROK. for the compliments. Whitey, LSP_Paul and David Hansen
David Hansen
Looks super nice, Ben! I am not far behind; am finishing up with the weathering as well and like you, i have about a year, perhaps a bit more, invested in mine. After it gets done, gonna take on some 48th scale projects and hopefully get a few things done faster. -d-
