Starfighter
I have worked on the wingfolds' basic structures last weekend. They are again a combination of 3D printed and hand made details; the bolts are from Meng. Very useful stuff and easy to work with. Meng bolts: After a coat of primer. The wingfolds need some delicate sanding, then they should look OK with a few additional wires and a coat of paint. LSP_Kevin
Meng bolts: How do you use them? I take it you have to slice them off the backing material? Kev Out2gtcha and HerculesPA_2
Starfighter
You just cut them off the base, Kev. They are injection moulded, so they are very easy to cut and glue. LSP_Kevin
Chek
Nice busy looking wingfold you've made, there. The bolt heads are a nice touch - just what's needed for the structural detail. Starfighter
Starfighter
Progress is incredibly slow at the moment caused by lack of time and the fact, that I hate wiring landing gear bays. To ease this tedious task, I got myself a JH Models stand. A very helpful tool! Here we go. This is the work of three evenings and it looks like nothing - did I mention I am very slow at this kind of work? I always have huge issues analyzing such complex structures in my mind and the Main landing gear bays of a Viking are more than complex. Anyway, I hope they'll look better once a few more 'coats' of wires have been added. A-10LOADER, LSP_Kevin, patricksparks and 10 others
