Make the others jealous

Recommended Posts

No pics, but I did acquire the 1/200 USS Arizona from Jan, fight here on the T/B. All the extra bits I'll ever need to build.... Pennsylvania. Gotta love plumb-bow ships. I think between the obligatory USS Constitution, HMS Victory, 1/250 Musashi, 1/200 Arizona, and a few 1/350 ships, I'm good there. I have a ah, few WNW kits as well.

Hope you have LOTS of time on your hands. That's a cracking collection.

Postman just brought this to my doorstep.

HGU-2 three piece ramshorn helmet, repro.

In the colors of the Frecce Tricolori Italian Aerobatic team, belonging to Lt.Col. Ivo Nutarelli who was one of the three pilot's who crashed at the Ramstein Air Show, Germany in 1988. Lt.Col. Nutarelli was flying Pony 10 when it hit two other planes when performing the pierced arrow maneuver resulting in a crash right into the public earea.

For now, i need to look out for a MBU-5/P oxygen mask. I just wanted to display the whole set for a moment with German issued MBU-5/P mask, so this is not historical correct.

I couldn't leave this one, but hey, you probably think that's just an explanation isn't?? ......it is indeed

The Gueneau 316 is also on my most wanted list so, still some search work to do. Please share pic's if you want.

When the story about the demise of Revell surfaced, one of our LHS traded off all their Revell kits. I picked these up for a steal. The Spit MK IIa for  the Seafire conversion and the MK IXc , well because it's a Spit.

I now have 3 P-51's to build, The 1/32 Revell, 1/32 Tamiya and 1/24 Trumpeter. Where am I going to find the time? My plan though, is to use the Spit Mk IIa with Seafire Resin conversion as a practice before I tackle the resin conversion on the BF-110 though.

I've thought about one various times in 1/48th using a Revell CH-53 rotor head and what ever else I could scavenge. 1/32nd would be amazing and not to hard to scratch build, just the rotor head and tail rotors being the hardest part that I could think of... wonder how big the fuselage would be  :hmmm:

Guest Maxim

I'm with Brian on that one. A 32 scale CH-54 would be really nice. I think there was a scratchbiult one at the Nats a few years back?

A few bits and bobs:

From Tim Perry for review shortly - a new range of stuff to go under wings (and fuselages!) - done in thoroughly modern fashion, and with superb results.

And, from this weeks' club meet (quick plug: Wiltshire Scale Modellers Society - third Thursday of each month at the Pewsham Community Centre, Lodge Road, Chippenham, SN15 3SY, UK - 7.30 on) - a few subjects in a very alien scale to me - but the Vulcan and Victor are superb! These will be taken to the office for a little distraction at lunchtimes!

And a kit I've wanted since it was announced - at a price I couldn't resist. I have a cunning plan to convert it to pre-dreadnought HMS Formidable if I can source the relevant drawings/references:

Yes - more 'squirrels' :)
