D Bellis
Tower Hobbies has the Tamiya Action Sound A6M5 on clearance sale for $255 shipped (in the US): http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LR2127 Using Ad number 011WE to get $25 off of the $270.22 price tag to brings it down to $245.22, and then adding the regular shipping fee of $9.99 gives you the to-your-door price of $255.21. Considering the MSRP for this kit is $512, it looks like a pretty good deal (if you're in the US and into Zeros). D Disclaimers: TO poster is not affiliated with Tower hobbies, just passing on what appears to be a pretty good deal. It is understood that those outside the US might not be able to participate in Tower's offer due to taxes, shipping costs and/or other issues in their home countries. There's no need to use this thread as a sounding board for those problems.
LSP_Ron
Considering you can get the same kit without the sound and spinning prop for $130 or less I am not sure that's such a great deal?
waketurbulence
Quite a bit less - I recently got one for less than $85, with shipping. Must be a lot of real sound action... Andrew
D Bellis
Yes, the basic kit is much cheaper. The 'Action Sound' boxings are FAR more expensive than the basic kits with sporadic availability. D
Totalize
I'll pass.
Darren Howie
That's what I was thinking. And if you troll eBay, you can score one for less than that. And you troll the Hobby shops of Japan the base M5 and M2 are 65-70 dollars. The sound version is around 130 US on the street. Given the multi tiered distribution system in Japan god knows how much markup is being applied to our final end products.
BradG
Better be gold plated for that price.
