ALQ-71 ECM Pods for Thuds and Phantoms

Recommended Posts

Both pods are now available for sale and in the correct version for the jet they are to be mounted on.  The Thud version is the first with a long tail cone, while the Phantom version has a shorter tail cone for use on the inner wing pylon.   Both come with a complete set of Antennas to build any version desired, and the Phantom comes with a second RAT air turbine nose cone in addition to the hard wired std installation.

A real one courtesy of the USAF Museum.

Either one is $12 + shipping.      The Phantom version has been for sale for a while on e bay, but the it is new here and the Thud is new today.

Thanks

The Phantom version if you were mounting it on the wing inner pylon.   The tail cone was shortened for clearance with the Main gear or other stores  If mounting the sparrow well either would fit.   Best bet is to check your references, as depending on the time period as later on in 67/68 TWO pods were required per jet per mission.

Hope this helps,

Gary
