Corrected Meteor F.4 canopy?

Recommended Posts

I've heard from someone (I really don't remember who) that you are working on a corrected Meteor F.4 windshield and canopy. Is that true? It would be tremendous news, since the kit canopy is too squat and it shows...

Cheers,

erik.

Paul, one more question about it, if I may; will this canopy be a simple drop-in replacement or will it require cutting?

Or rather, is it possible to build the kit with the HK-supplied canopy temporarily fitted with a drop of white glue, to replace it with your canopy when you put it on the market?

Thanks, Erik.

It is up on the site for $5.00. I have just ordered it plus and F.8 conversion and another set of intakes. I wish I had ordered a few months ago when our dollar was worth something.

That's the windshield. That needs replacing too, I admit, but as I understand it, Paul also has a master for an accurate canopy.

Hi Guys,

I am working on the F.4 hood, as well as making my ammunition bay workable as a separate upgrade.Been really swamped with the Bugatti project and family obligations but hope to get some more Meatbox stuff out very soon, have a nice set of underwing fuel tanks and a rocket / rail set too.

Had a major setback with the Israeli / Halestorm decals so they are not yet printed. It's always something.

And trust me...I am feeling the pain of the stronger US Dollar every day....it cuts both ways for someone who exports most of his product. Ouch!

We are trying to find ways to lower costs at this end so we can remain in the game, but it is difficult, especially with the clear resin bits.

Best,

Paul

Thanks for the answer, Paul! Regardless of the dollar, I'll order those F.4 canopy parts without a doubt! Besides, I also need the F.8 conversion but I'll order everything in one go.

Cheers,

Erik.

Hi Paul, don't want to bug you (but it seems I'm doing it anyway  :innocent:  ), how is the F.4 hood progressing? Looking at the walk-around on the IPMS Netherlands site, it's easily observable that the head armor is too "squashed", resulting in a too low sliding hood and rear glazing. I have started the F.4 now, so I'm hoping that the hood will appear on the market shortly. That canopy is soooo characteristic for the appearance of the F.4....

Walk-Around Meteor F.4

BTW, I have already bought your F.8 conversion, does that give me extra points?

Eagerly awaiting the T.7 conversion too, BTW....

Cheers,

Erik.

Hi Paul,

I'm seeing a lot of beautiful products from your hands. I hope the corrected canopy/sliding hood is stil on the scope?

Cheers,

Erik.
