What are we actually missing in 1/32?

Times are great for us and the future is exciting (kit rich & cash poor.... ahem) just wish I knew what was coming. Only asking as there are still some obvious airframes that have yet to be kitted in 1/32 and wondered what you guys & girls want and what you know?

 

yes a B36 would be interesting, and to be honest so would a VC10, but real world I still think there are a number of commercial propositions we should whet our appetite for and any expression of interest counts in the online world (if only among us..)

funny when I look at this hopeful post from 2014 how many on the wishlist came to be, in fact lots in this thread came to be so maybe it is just a matter of time before we all get what we want

 

Still missing a P51B/C which is probably the biggest modelling enigma of modern times..

Yeah, a new accurate P-51B in 1/32 remains my top want.

 

Still, haven't done a wish list in a while so here is my current:

 

P-51B (I believe has been mentioned as in process by a couple manufacturers but nothing has materialized)

A-20G (I know HPH/Infinity/HGW has mentioned one in process for years)

Beaufighter (a new tool would be nice, again I think Infinity has mentioned on in process?)

BV-138 (HPH maybe doing one?)

B-26 Marauder

Other "nice to haves" in 1/32 that would get my $$

-new tool accurate P-38 series

-La-5, La-7 (Did the HPH already but would do another if avail in plastic)

-F6F Hellcat (just a good accurate basic 1/32 kit in the Hasegawa style please)

-Wildcat - Trumpeter isn't bad but showing its age, if someone did a new-tool accurate kit I would be in for a couple...)

One of my favourite online model shops shows 251 kits in 1/32. They have 3,253 in 1/72.

 

I would say we are missing approximately 3,000 kits in 1/32.

Very few 'missing' if you count types which haven't been kitted at all in 1/32. But for a start, Martinsyde Elephant; Bristol Scout; DH.6; BE.12.

 

Anything preceded by, "A new-tool...", "Recent..." or containing the word "recessed" doesn't count.

I would argue in many cases yes we are "missing" an actual good/accurate kit for many types but whatever.

CSM are working on a 1/32 Bristol Scout, due out later this year or early next.

I would like to see a wartime Meteor and a wartime P80.  Tough to understand why these arent already kits of the first operational jets of the major combatants. 

 

We have multiple versions of some things like the 335, from two manufacturers, and they only made less than 20 of that plane, but nobody makes a wartime Meteor.
