phantomfan
Hi all, I have a couple of kits that in my mind should be finished in PAF 2 Grays camouflage, the Trumpeter F-7M and the FT-6, both in 1/32. I searched on line but seems that aftermarket decals are not available, I am wrong or really nothing has been produced for that planes. I remember someone was speaking about some "pre cut masks" for those marking, but I was non able to find anything... any help? Thanks for looking. Regards. Iain
Hi Marco, Closest set was probably that done by PWMP: More info. Iain
thierry laurent
Hi, Indeed there were some decals from Tiger Wings and PWMP: http://www.kitreview.com/reviews/tigerwingsmig19decalsreviewdw_1.htm http://www.skywriters.net/pwmp.htm and http://www.largescaleplanes.com/lane/PWMP.php I'd try contacting jean-Pierre Van Regenmortel. He used to have the address given in the second/third links but I'm not sure it is still the right one. You may also try to contact him through LSP messaging as his member nickname is JP-PWMP. Hope this helps. Thierry
Kagemusha
Ian at AdAstra http://www.adastramasks.com/ produced a custom set of F-6 masks for me. Edited March 11, 2014 by Kagemusha
cch4530
Ian at AdAstra http://www.adastramasks.com/ produced a custom set of F-6 masks for me. I had Ian make custom masks for me as well, covering PAF F-7P/PGs, Mirages, F-16, T-33 and Sabres. Unfortunately, haven't been able to get a hold of him in a while. Mind sharing what scheme you went for in regards to the F-6?
Kagemusha
It was this one You can get the correct ejector seat now http://www.kitsforcash.com/hawk-early-ejection-seats-x-2-12555-p.asp

Zero77
Please correct me...but I thought that PAF F-6s and F-7s used MB Mk.10 seats? That is very possible. In the Chuck Yeager's biography, he said that he spent some time in Pakistan to train Pakistani pilotes during the Pakistan/India war, and they were adapting new launch-rails for sidewinders on the F-6s. So it may be the same for the MB ejection seats.
Iain
Seat should be the Martin Baker PKD10 - which I believe has the larger head box as fitted to early Hawks - as per Kagemusha's post above... Iain
Kagemusha
There have been numerous versions of the MB10 seat, you can clearly see the shape of the headboxthingy... Iain
phantomfan
Thanks everybody, plenty of information and also the solution for the Ejection Seats. Really appreciated. Thanks. Marco
Le Lapin Mal
All Pakistani fighters from China use Martin Baker seats, they do not trust the quality of Chinese built bang seats...certainly according the the Air Force Officer I spoke to in Karachi last year. Please correct me...but I thought that PAF F-6s and F-7s used MB Mk.10 seats?
cch4530
Could someone here explain the difference between the gun muzzles? How/what era did they change or what would explain the 2 different types? The bigger muzzle Also does the seat above appear to be MB Mk 10 or KM? The other option - perhaps a flash hider? Kagemusha
Can't help explain the difference, but Profimodeller produce both types. http://www.profimodeller.com/detail/p32103-barrel-set-and-pitot-tube-mig19--a--1/ & http://www.profimodeller.com/detail/32104-barrel-set-and-pitot-tube-mig19--b-/ Edited March 15, 2014 by Kagemusha
phantomfan
Seems that AdAstra is no longer in business, I sent them a message but no reply after a week, their updates of the site are very old... Probably that means no masks for my F-7PG.... I had Ian make custom masks for me as well, covering PAF F-7P/PGs, Mirages, F-16, T-33 and Sabres. Unfortunately, haven't been able to get a hold of him in a while. Mind sharing what scheme you went for in regards to the F-6?
