ClumsyDude
Babies are a killer. I found that feeding my daughter at night generally woke me up enough that I couldn't get back to sleep for an hour, so I got one of those laser cut MDF tool trays (can't remember the name) and brought my tomcat stuff in from the shed for an hour, then went back to sleep. Same sleep deprivation, but much more progress on the model (as long as you don't need to spray). Now my youngest is three and life is coming back to normal ... not that it's a normal I would've recognised before kids! Good luck & hope to see you back at it soon. geedubelyer
cant wait for him to be able to sit and build lego on his own or something like that. Whoa.....slow down bro! Dude, make the most of every minute because before you blink, you'll be waving him off to college. The model will always be there. Plastic does n't rot but kids don't stay kids for long. Just enjoy your time as a family and get back to the modelling when you can. Cheers.

SirBlueHenry
Hi Anthony. I see you are rebuilding a full size Auster. Are you still doing this? Whereabouts is it based? Would love to come and have a look. On a different Note I am also doing a build log for a 1/7 scale Harvard - very early stages so far, which I can link to every now and again in this forum as its kind related and interesting (to me). mozart
Oh and in the meantime I also purchased the full set of factory drawings for the Harvard! Interesting, may I ask from where? I'm particularly looking for a set of drawings for a Harvard Mk 1. Max

SirBlueHenry
Hi Max I took a chance on a DVD of PDF drawings off ebay. its good enough for my purposes even though some area are not the greatest quality. I dont think i saw anything for Harvard Mk1. that may be a lot more difficult to find,

I'm planning to convert the KH T-6 to a Mk 1, half decent drawings would be a great help even! Max
SirBlueHenry
Do you specifically want to do it in 1/32, because I have just purchased a vacform Mk1 conversion set 1/48. Not sure if you have one of those. Once I get it I will post pics and you can see if it would help. You will just about be building a whole new fuselage if you do a Mk1 from the KH kit. Which would be an impressive scratch-building project if ever i saw one Edited July 22, 2016 by SirBlueHenry
mozart
Ideally it would be 1/32nd to sit beside my Harvard IIa from the KH kit, but I also have a couple of 1/48th Harvard kits so I wouldn't rule it out. Max
Sharkmouth
Guys, I was chatting with Roy Sutherland of Barracuda Studios (Barracuda Decals and Barracudacast) and informed him about the commonality of parts between the Texan and P-51 Mustang. While the commonality may be for post war aircraft, what about during war time? Were the seats, tires (main wheels and tail) the same? What other P-51 Mustang parts could be used? I ask since they offer a nice range of products and interior stencils for the Mustang. Regards,
mozart
That's a very good question. I believe the wartime commonality is there too jugding by pictures in T-6 maintenance manuals and contemporary photographs. On my Harvard build I used Brassin Mustang wheels to which I then added covers since the KH wheels are clearly very wrong.
