Maurice
In the mean time the Mustang paint is cured and if I can find the lower cowling, I'm launching this new project. This is, IMHO, the sleekest of all Merlin powered Spitfires, Supermarine Spitfire MkXVIe RACER 6. Cooper Air Race July 1949. I'll use Lifelike decals 32-011 and Barracuda post war 3 slots wheels with radial thread. Guest Peterpools
Maurice WOW, one good looking Spit and looking forward to the build. What part are you looking fr on your Mustang, as I have some spares and if I can find it, it's yours. Peter
Maurice
Thank you Peter, the part that is missing is the lower engine cowling, those that are very thin. The kit comes with just one.
Guest Peterpools
Maurice, I'll take a look and see if I have one. Doesn't look good but you never know. I you need a replacement, as I lost a few parts, I made one hone call to Tamiya USA and the parts were shipped no charge and it took only ten days. Maurice
Thank you guys, for the encouragment. Peter, just checked with Tamiya Canada and they will charge me CAD$11 + shipping&handling for the part. At least I will be able to complete the kit. Thank you for the heads up. Guest Peterpools
Maurice. Went though my Mustang left over parts and sorrow to let you down but I don't have the cowl. I'm a bit surprised that Tamiya is changing you $11 plus shipping. Did you contact Tamiya USA or does Canada have a different Tamiya importer? Maurice
In Canada it's a completely different importer. Thank you, Peter for your concern.
