LSP_Kevin
This is a test shot of the HK Models Meteor Mk 4. I built the kit with preliminary instructions, test decals and no painting guide (build thread). I chose the included Argentinian scheme because the decals for the RAF options didn't seem quite right colour-wise. As it happens, the Argentinian roundels turned out to be too light. In any case, I thought it was quite a striking scheme! Anyway, enough babbling, on with the photos: More in the next post... LSP_Kevin
In the next photo, you can see why I've chosen not to highlight the surface detail with any panel line washes: So, that's it! A simple kit, but a very enjoyable build. The only real change I made to OOB is replacing the two blade aerials in the kit with a whip aerial as per profiles of this aircraft. I can only highly recommend this kit, so pick on up when you can! Thanks everyone for looking in. Kev Rick K, Iain, Ads and 4 others

tomprobert
Really, really nice finish on what looks like a stunning kit. Completely agree with your thoughts on the lack of panel line wash being required too - I've found the same with the B-17 in the fact HK have got their surface detail just deep enough to be noticed, but any enhancement would over-do the effect. A really great build Kev; looks like another winner from HK. Tom wunwinglow
