GVINCENT
Hello, I was wondering if anyone out there had a drawing of the infamous wing spar for the P-51? I have the 1/24 MPC kit and would like to try to build up the wheel wells since the kit has none! Also if anyone has the instructions for said kit, please let me know. My kit doesn't have them... Thanks! Gary

Ironwing
GVIN The drawing can be found in the NAA Engineering Dwgs. I'm unsure of the dwg number, but I know I've seen it. There really isn't anything fancy about it. It's straight and flat with five (5) degrees of dihedral per side. I noted that someone offered a photo of Tamiya's main spar. From what little I've seen of the kit, it seems pretty accurate. Keep in mind that the main spar runs straight across the rear of the wheel well. It doesn't follow the shape of well aperture like so many mfg's depict it. You can also find it in my twenty-fourth Airfix Mustang build thread along with details of the well. It was constructed strictly to NAA Dwgs so I know they are as they should be.
