Belgian AF F-104G Italeri. Canon Bay and others. UP 08/01/2014

Recommended Posts

HI everybody.

I'm in with the new (so much discussed.....) 1/32 Italeri F-104G.

I've started the seat an pit, but I have no time (Just received my Macbook back from repair, so many things to fix....) to put pictures from the job today.

Will put them tomorrow with MY comments from the build.

Thank you for looking,

Cheers,

Jamme

Thank you all for your interest.

Really appreciate.

For documentation i use the pics on this really interesting site:

http://www.aircraftwalkarounds.be/Starfighterpage_English.html

So as promised the first pics of the assembly start.

I precise, it will be an OOB build

I started as per the instructions.

Here are the components of the Seat.

Belgian F-104G's had the Lockeed seat

Painted the parts following the instructions in Gunze H317:

This is the first error on the instructions........

Following my doc on the above link, I believe it would be a much lighter shade of grey.....

So I repainted all parts in Gunze H308, and it looks much better.

So here a picture of the seat painted, not yet assembled, and without any highlights or weathering done:

The other colors are all Valejo, painted with a brush, somme mixed up.

I then started the tub and IP:

Here are the parts:

And here they are painted, as above without weathering, only a little dry brush on the black.

I made the fire button that is missing or too small on the stick.

Following the instructions the rear bulkhead and the seat rails should be red (??????)

Did follow my documentation:

Here a pic from the IP, almost finished:

That's it for the moment, will try to work a little bit this afternoon.......

Thank you for looking.

Constructive comments and questions always welcome.

Cheers,

Jamme

Hi Mark and Matt.

Thank you for looking and for the comments.

Matt:

At this point of the build I should say a seat and a pit.

The original pieces are not bad and I can live with it, so......

Cheers,

Jamme

Nice start on the front office and I'm glad to see you decided to build the kit OOB.

Keep 'em coming

Peter

Hello Peter,

Thank you very much for the nice comment.

I decided a OOB build, so everybody that wants to look at the WIP can give himself an idea how the kit builds.

Cheers,

Jamme
