HKM B17 Bit O Lace

well I'm calling her done. Really enjoyed this, made a few mistakes that with hindsight I would do some things differently. Firstly I wasted all that money on aftermarket, none of it's needed as you can't see any of it - should have built her OOB. 
 
I didn't get the internal fit perfect so it never fitted properly when it went into the kit. I had to rework it in the bomb bay area and make the walkway shorter. I still had problems around the ball turret area. I never got the fit right on the left elevator, the gap is too big. And finally, I never noticed until the glue had set that the roof section on the left hand side didn't bed down perfectly, I think due to the internal fit, so was left with a small gap. I haven't covered that up to a level that I'm happy with and will most likely come back to that.

Hi 

YES ,very good work !!!!!!! The only problem with this "beast" is to find a place to display .

If I build one , I should have to hang it one the ceiling .What will be the next challenge ??? a B 36 or 52 ?????

thanks all. Came home from work tonight with the following words ringing in my ears from the wife - "can you please put that thing somewhere out of the way now". Of course I can, then for the first time I really thought about it - where the hell do I put it !!! So she's off to the loft this evening, assuming I can fit her through the loft hatch (the B17 not my wife ).

thanks all for the kind feedback - spotted on the head on shot that the nose glazing is not on straight so will pop it off and re-attach.

 

SinuheH - you read my mind, want to do an OD version, will ignore most of the interior this time ! Can't wait for the Lanc !!!
