I see references to the kit being "expensive" and "pricey", but haven't been able to find the actual price of this kit anywhere. I've looked at the "News in HpH" thread, the review linked above and the HpH site with no luck.

Maybe I missed it? Can anyone point in the direction of the price for this kit?

TIA,

D

Here you go, D:

$192.00 USD

Nice review Kev - one note on the "cloudy" section of the canopy - I believe that part is intentionally "cloudy" since it needs to be painted ;)

Not too pricy when you consider it comes with a shedful of AM and you'll not need to buy anything else to get a great looking model.

HPH are my favourite manufacturers at the moment.

Thanks! Changing the language to English results in the price changing to 196 Euros. Converting that to USD comes out to $270 US. "Pricey" and "expensive" indeed.

I think that includes VAT at 20%?

You lucky Americans can get it for 20% less, so maybe around $220 or so?

Good review Kev.

I'm sure HpH will do the 50mm cannon armed version and maybe include the underbelly 20/30 mm cannon packs as an option.

Thanks for the clarification Doug. I did wonder about that, but I have no references on the type and didn't want to misspeak.

No mention of how nice the chocolate is..?

I haven't sampled it yet Andy! Better had before the Aussie summer kicks in and it becomes Belgian gloop.

Personally I think it's worth it D (plus, as Dean notes, the quoted price includes VAT). It's a limited-run, handmade resin kit with lots of extras already in the box. 'Value' and 'affordability' are subjective notions obviously, but I'd rate the kit as being high on the former and low on the latter.

I think it means (correct if im off here) that a lot of the time large scale planes dont get sent to LSP for review, but to other sites that may not specialize in large scale planes. I dont believe there was any (as I took it anyway) offense intended to any other sites James, its just that LSP specializes in well...................large scale planes, and as such when a new LSP comes out and it gets sent to another site that may not specialize in LSPs first, it seems a bit confusing.

Again, I dont believe there was any offense intended, its just nice, with all the large scale aviation building talent we have here, that we would get first crack (or one of the first cracks)  at reviewing a new large scale plane.
