LSP_K2 Posted October 27, 2013 Posted October 27, 2013 Nice review Kev. Looks to be an interesting kit.
phasephantomphixer Posted October 27, 2013 Posted October 27, 2013 Beautiful stuff, hope to afford one while still available.
Thomas Lund Posted October 27, 2013 Posted October 27, 2013 Lovely. I have a HPH kit and this one looks to be just as good. Even though it's a bit pricey, I think I'll have one. Will there be a big gun version available later ? Good review, thanks
Showtime 100 Posted October 27, 2013 Posted October 27, 2013 Very nice review as well as a very nice model. Thanks for sharing.
Vandy 1 VX 4 Posted October 27, 2013 Posted October 27, 2013 Thanks Kevin and to HPH I may have to pick one up when Sprue Bros. gets them in. Cheers Danny
LDSmodeller Posted October 27, 2013 Posted October 27, 2013 Hi Kev, Great review on that kit, I have the 410 in smaller scales, but in 1/32 would be nice! Building a full resin kit certainly would challenge my modelling skills, as I have never attampted such but the end result - WOW. Like Thomas above, I to wonder if the 75mm kannon version would make an apperance? Wonder if anyone in New Zealand woild stock them (eventually) Thanks/regards Alan
Artful69 Posted October 27, 2013 Posted October 27, 2013 Kev ... A most excellent review ... I can't wait to get one!! Having never dealt with resin before (yet having a couple of their kits) ... I saw a reference to using floor polish on a 'cloudy' canopy - is this for real?? Any recommendations on an Aussie product? Rog
Hardcore Posted October 27, 2013 Posted October 27, 2013 Not only cloudy canopies, it improve clear ones too! And thirdly it let you redo bad paint jobs simply by dissolving the Polish. The paint, which is on top of Polish, will be washed away in the process. Btw, alcohol seems to work as Polish remover. At least for Johnsons.
Lancman Posted October 27, 2013 Posted October 27, 2013 Hi Kev, I will build it for you nice review and kit. Graham Ads 1
Guest Peterpools Posted October 27, 2013 Posted October 27, 2013 Kev Fantastic reviewed: detailed , honest and very well done. Loaded with information, pluses and minuses. Peter
Guest Nigelr32 Posted October 27, 2013 Posted October 27, 2013 Great Review Kev, thank you for taking the time to do it. Now, I think you should get them to send me a Catalina to review for us ...Failing that, you could always send me the 410??
D Bellis Posted October 27, 2013 Posted October 27, 2013 I see references to the kit being "expensive" and "pricey", but haven't been able to find the actual price of this kit anywhere. I've looked at the "News in HpH" thread, the review linked above and the HpH site with no luck. Maybe I missed it? Can anyone point in the direction of the price for this kit? TIA, D
