Cees Broere
It's been a while but this project has also got a boost recently. I managed to Knit the bulged PCM fairing to the hollow Revell part. The trick was to carefully heat And bent to shape. Large gaps will have to be filled. I re- read this thread and you Are correct about the radiator fairings. but I think I will leave them alone.Pics soon. Cees
bdthoresen
Nice work Cees- I notice that the gaps at the wingroots are fairly symetrical. Perhaps you could take advantage of the long tabs on the matchbox wings, and extend them with some sheet plastic cut to the shape of the gaps. You could then reinforce them from the underside of the upper wings, and fill, sand, and rescribe the upper wings as necessary. That way you cut down on the filling at the wingroot seam, and can work the "extensions" till the fit is nearly perfect. Just a suggestion.Love your work. Love the Tempest also- Please keep the updates coming.....THOR
