Airbrush PSI QUESTION

radial

Recommended Posts

When airbrushing with the compressor pres. Gauge set at say 20PSI the gauge fluctuates between 7-18 PSI while spraying. All my compressors do this. The question is what is actual pressure coming out of the AB during these fluctuations? What is the actual "useable" PSI?

7-18 psi?  are all of the connections correct?  Sounds to me like your hose connections are not correct.  Or maybe I am not reading this right.

For my system, with the the trigger disengaged the gauge is showing appoximately 10-12psi depending on where I set the bleed regulator. When I hit the trigger, the gauge shows 8-10psi. This is constant.  there is no swing of 11psi as your system is giving you.

Once you hit the air trigger the regulator should only drop a few psi(IMHO)

I use something like this with the moisture trap, regulator and guage all together.
