LSP_K2
While going over my model to compile a list of paints I need, I discovered a big boo boo; the black fuselage band is supposed to be two panels wide, but I only painted mine one panel wide. Although I've seen times where I could screw up a free lunch, so we'll see. MikeMaben

Sincerely, Mark Yep, odd that I missed that, Mark. Since I'm repainting the entire thing anyway (bought the paints and lead foil today, in fact), it's not a big deal, but I had to look twice to figure out what's going on. LSP_K2
OK, lead foil and most of the paints I need, arrived today, so Saturday I'll get back on this kit, big time. Sparzanza
Guest Peterpools
Kev Mighty nice progress and so glad you caught the band width error now, making the repair: pretty simply and a lot less stressful. Keep 'em coming Peter
LSP_Kevin
Awesome! I didn't know you could buy dedicated lead foil like that. With Verlinden shutting down, will it still be available? Kev LSP_K2

Kev I don't know, Kev, but Sprue certainly has it in stock at the moment. It's overpriced, but was a necessary expedient. The sheet is not very large, but then I only need a small piece of it. LSP_K2
OK, finally some progress. I think this aircraft will look much better with a CL tank, so I'm doctoring up the kit tank to use. Azgaron, Sparzanza and Mal_Belford
LSP_K2
Replacement stab receives its lead foil LE reinforcement. Fillet is mostly faired back in, but may need a tad more surfacer. MikeMaben, 109 and Mal_Belford

LSP_K2
Looking good! HÃ¥kan Thanks a bunch. I finally was able to spritz some RLM 02 (old Aeromaster Warbird paint) on the fuel tank today. Looks pretty decent, but there are still a few very small boo boos to deal with. My Eagle Strike decals have full stenciling for the tank too, so that's a nice plus. With any luck, I'll start repainting the air frame today. 109, Sparzanza and mpk
LSP_K2
Bottoms and side areas where darker colors had encroached too far down, now repainted with the MM base RLM 76. Once this is thoroughly dry, I'll dust on some other shades of blue, 'Ralpherizing' it in the process. mpk and Sparzanza
