Never force, if i dont feel like it, dont do it at the moment, modelbuild is for alot, satisfying, relaxing, having fun, thinking, therapy, own little sphere, its alot to me..... And to the thread. Damn good build and awesome scratch building, ive been peking alot on this one

You're also a braver man that I taking the saw to a £250 kit, but I'm sure the results will be worth it, especially as Little Miss Mischief. It'll be interesting to see how your improvements effect the overall look of the model, perhaps we should get together one day and do a photo shoot of our efforts side by side so others considering doing surgery can see the comparisons. I think the kit as it comes should look ok, but it'll be interesting to see how it compares to a build where corrections have been made. I'm hooked to your thread, so keep up the good work! Tom

You're scratch building skills are so much better than mine and you're ignoring the errors !! Having said that, you are doing a great job!! Cheers Nige, but I get so bogged down in the big vacs I often do I fancied doing a reasonably straightforward project. I have total respect for what you're doing and think the mods are great, but I know if I started corrections I'd never stop and want to get this finished at some point in the next few months. I battled with the Combat Vacform B-17 for over a year so am more than happy to bud this one OOB! Tom

So many times we want to hang on to those beloved friends we have made in our pets but to avoid the right thing is to be selfish and unfeeling. The animal's welfare and comfort must take precedence over our own feelings. You didn't kill, you ended a terrible suffering. So sorry for your loss.

I had to do the same for my two cats and age and sickness left me no choice. My heart goes out to you but as you said, she is now in Dog Heaven and at peace. Peter

We hung on to a beloved family cat way too long a few years ago, and she suffered terribly because we couldn't bring ourselves to let her go. Comfort yourself with the knowledge that you've done the right thing, and let your grief play out as it will. Kev

For me.................modeling goes right out the window when an animal of mine is sick or hurting. Many years back when my best friend died by his own hand, and then my sister passed a few short months later, I decided to adopt an animal. I took home a tortoise-shell calico cat home named Jinxy. I may not ever have kids of my own..........but that little cat saved my life in a time when I didnt feel there was much to save. She was a close to a child as I may ever get. I lost my beloved Jinxy last year in May from cancer. After a couple days of her not eating and taking her to the emergency vet over the weekend..............I finally had to take her to the real vet on that following Monday morning. I knew when I took her to the vet that morning that I wouldn't see her again. I was more heartbroken than when my friend Ray passed OR even my own sister. I dont think I have ever felt so sad. When the vet called that afternoon and told me of the terminal cancer, I broke down then and there.......................I knew what had to be done, and gave them permission to do it. Its tough to even make it through writing this thinking about loosing her. That said I had adopted another little kitty shortly after Jinxy named Bobbie........... Now Bobbie is sick and is having health issues and I dread having to make the kind of decision again you had to make with Lola, and I had to make previous with Jinxy. I think about it every day now and worry constantly. You did in fact do the right thing..................it just wasn't the easy thing. Some things in life are hard, and for me it doesnt get any harder that what you did. Im not a religious man, but I will keep Lola in my thoughts along with my Bobbie.
