Cees Broere
Here's my current project. The tempest. A kit we have all been waiting for. So far I am building as many subassemblies as possible prior to airbrushing. The wings are finished and working on the radiator partsvthat need some Fitting. So far I am extremely enjoying this kit. Cees Broere
A note I deviated from the kit by sawing the wheelwell centreblock away as mine had a slight droop. The Tempest had a horizontal centresection so I fitted a spar from thick plastic. My solution Not necessarily needed for all kits. Cees

LSP_Kevin
Nice start Cees! It seems this kit is vying with the Tamiya Corsair for the most-built kit of the moment. Looking forward to your progress! Kev Cees Broere
Cees Broere
Some progress then, Did some work on the radiator pieces by fitting a tube to represent the duct and Also helps to keep the correct distance. The parts has to be sanded for fit with The photo etch trimmed with scissors. The photo etch was glued by spreading A layer if CA with som stiff card,....quickly. Also testfit of the wings. Bravo52
I would highly recommended you test fit the cockpit before gluing and painting. Mine fit so poorly that I had to cut it apart and remove about 3-4mm to get it to fit. That is after all of the wheel well reconstruction. scvrobeson
Looks very good so far Cees, your fix for the radiator is a good one. I should have tried that on mine. Matt

Cees Broere
Hi Kev, Well yes, although I had just cleaned up before taking the pic. I work on the Dining table. After the daily modelling session everything gets put away in a closet. Otherwise I'm in trouble........... Roy Sutherland
Hi Cees. Not sure if you are aware of the Barracuda Studios Tempest mainwheels, but they are a big improvement over the kit wheels which are too small in diameter and too wide. http://barracudacals.com/prodimages/3212402.jpg Available here, or shortly from Hannants. http://barracudacals.com/proddetail.php?prod=BR32124&cat=33 I have a few more 1/32 Tempest accessories coming soon, but they are too late for your build, which is looking very nice! Looking forward to seeing it progress. Roy
