Intruder "just the finish"!

Anyone know what the proper angle would be?

No idea whatsoever. But the QB seat looks amazingly good (that is not to say "correct"). Could you perhaps modify the seat rails so the QB seat would fit?

Cheers

I was heading in that direction till I noticed that the top brasses for the seat rail will not fit properly! Looks like its the kits seat or the Avionix will be the best choice for the least amount of modifying!

Used the QB seats in my build but I did modify the rails so that they fit better. No idea if the angle is right or wrong but the QB seats are really nicely cast and detailed (plus they have molded on belt detail which I prefer vs. photoetched)

Just for fun I pulled the -7 seat from Trumpy's F-14A kit and even they are different! Not the angle that is the same, but the details are a bit different( not the same seat!). Looking at photos of the WoflPack seat, it looks allot like the Aires/QB as far as the angle.

I think since I have them and don't remember when or where I got them, the Avionix seat looks like they will be a good sub for the kit's seat!

Hmm...I have those QB seats for my trumpy tomcat. Wonder if the angle suits the tomcat?

Looked at that as well since I had everything out!

Aires pit. QB seat.

Trumpy A-6 seat. Bare in mind the tabs on the bottom have not been cut off, so the seat dosn't sit level with the floor, but has the same angle as the Trumpy seat!

I'll get a Tamiya seat out and show the same info if anyones intrested, or post a new thread on the Discusion board on the -7 seats we have out there! I'm thinking that the Avionix ( Black Box!) seat is the winner here!

Holy cow, you're in Stockton California. That's not that far from where I'm at. I do hope to run into you at a model show. Your Intruder is coming along real nice. Keep up the good work.

It took awhile for me to admit being from Stockton. It's like Chicago with more trees!! Got the old kick off classic at Milpitas on 29th of Sept, I'm going to try to make to that one.
