For the weathering, I use at first a dark wash and then pastel chalk powder applied with a small peint brush, using a small sheet of paper as a guide and mask along the panel lines.

I allways try not to be too symetrical.

Appreciate the explination. Your pastel chalk work is fantastic. Do you put a final "sealant" coat over the wash/powder to keep your fingers from wiping it away?

I do the weathering after a coat of semi-mat varnish so the pastel has a better grip than on alclad paint, and the powder is allready stuck to the surface, but I like to had another coat of semi mat varnish to sealed everything.
