Erwin
Is that the one in shinny red plastic ? ............................................. showing my age!! Yes it is.It has a date 1957 molded on the inner fuselage. That's 55 years old and it's still being produced...and bought by me ! I must add that I only paid 7 Euros for it. Bill_S
Excellent choice, Erwin! When I was younger, those 1/28 Revell kits were some of my favorites. I have the Dr1, Spad, and Camel in my stash. I'm pretty sure Revell issued the Dr1 in a light blue plastic, too - the picture on the box was of Werner Voss' plane.
Erwin
I'm pretty sure Revell issued the Dr1 in a light blue plastic, too - the picture on the box was of Werner Voss' plane. It was indeed at one time molded in blue as can be seen in this link.... http://www.ebay.com/itm/REVELL-1-28-FOKKER-DR-1-/281081200249?pt=Model_Kit_US&hash=item4171bebe79
Erwin
First progress.Parts clean-up and some filling to do. I have an idea in my head to not go for the Red Baron.Instead I might use German crosses from the 32 nd Piper Cub kit and go with a colourful sheme. A bit of a fantasy. I hope that's OK for the GB ? mgbooyv8
Hi Erwin, Nice that you tackle the Dr.1! I see that you made the same start as I did. I wonder if anyone will enter the old Camel in the group build? Cheers, Peter

Highest Regards, Gregory Jouette I'm glad to be back ! It won't be like the old days when I use to build kit after kit. At the moment this Fokker and Piper floatplane will be my projects for the next months. Edited April 7, 2013 by Erwin
Erwin
Some progress. I will paint the wings before adding them to the fuselage. Grassgreen upper side. Blue fuselage with red tailsection and lightblue wing undersides and modern German crosses. My fantasy paintjob. Erwin
This kit is UNBUILDABLE ! Nothing fitted like I wanted it to. I simply trashed it. I shall enter the 1/28 th Revell Fokker DVII instead in this GB. (Staff please delete this topic)
mgbooyv8
Hi Erwin, A pity you had to trash it. I hope you have more luck with the Revell D.VII. Cheers, Peter
