ericg
Now here is the part that I hate, as something always goes wrong, which it sort of did. I have applied Model Master paint to the model, freehand cam. Uncarina and Whitey

ericg
I have also wanted to load this model up with the central gun pod, which is another thing that didn't come with the kit. There are already a couple of less than satisfactory resin pods floating around that can be purchased and the Revell Hawk comes with one that is extremely anorexic, so I beefed it up a bit and added quite a bit of filler and plastic card to better represent its shape. I then cast the shape in resin so that I had a nice even surface to scibe on and so that I wasn't scribing through filler. I then was able to scribe the required lines and also start adding detail. As this is a WIP there is still much more detail to add, and I will be using more Archer rivets which are very prominent on the pod. There are a few mis-scribed lines that I have filled with superglue...
DonH
I am really enjoying this build. Great attention to detail and the skill to achieve it! More please!!
ericg
Some more Gun Pod detailing. The hardest part of this has been trying to get pics of the underneath of the pod, and now I have some I have continued. I do plan on recasting this once completed for those interested. I also painted the wheel wells with Mr Surfacer white, decanted from the spray can and sprayed with the airbrush.
ericg
I also painted some other stuff white today, including the Teardrop shaped antenna under the forward fuselage, Rather than try and mask it once in situ, and to avoid trying to place it when I had finished painting, I thought I would make an imprint of it in some masking tape once it was off the sprue and before I glued it in place. Made it alot easier to mask later on. Whitey

Harold
Eric Looking simply stellar... The Archer Rivets are on must buy and try list, after seeing how realistic they look in your hands. Keep 'em coming  I tried the set from MicroMark as well. They have two large sheets of different sizes. http://www.micromark.com/o-scale-decals-with-raised-3d-rivets-and-other-surface-details,9967.html

mgbgtv8steve
Hi Eric - I'm new to the forum and this is my first post, but I felt I really needed to say what a great job you are doing, not only on this Hawk, but also on your Hunter T.7 - excellent! I've built both, using the Revell Hawk rather than the Kinetic, but I've got to say that I wished I'd had your 'resin bits' because they certainly enhance both kits enormously! Now here's the question - when can we in the UK benefit from your resin casting expertise because seeing what you are achieving certainly makes me want to build the Kinetic Hawk and to do another Fisher Hunter - maybe this time an export one with two cannon fitment. ericg
Hi Steve, Thanks for the comments. I will have all available very soon, as I am just putting the finishing touches on the gun pod. I do have the inner and outer pylons, as well as the CBLS pods available now, also the Hunter bits are ready as well. Eric.
