Nicely done Wolf...the fabric effect really came through in spades. :m0152:

Clean and tidy. Whats next? (besides finishing the Spit?)

Thanks Bill. The fabric effect decals really did make a big difference and I'm glad I used them but they definitely added a lot of extra work and time to the build.

What's next, for sure finishing off the Spitfire. After that, I don't really know. I've got lots of stash to choose from. Maybe the Tamiya Mustang or even the Corsair. First and foremost is a complete cleaning and reorganization of the workbench. It looks like a cyclone hit it.

Cheers,

Wolf

Hi Maru, high praise indeed my friend, thank-you! Looking better than the real thing though  .................I don't know about that. I mean I'd much rather have the real thing!

Thank-you Jeff. It does have a few warts but for the most part I'm happy with the way it turned out. Even the propellor turned out better than I thought but I'd definitely add at least one more lamination the next time I mask one off.

Cheers,

Wolf

wolf

this is lovely work i have to admire your knowledge of what things are on the engine and the correct colour to render them in-either that or you have a d7 in the garage

-great name as well by the way-there arent many wolfs in scotland

Another thread that slipped under my radar

Wolf - this is seriously fantastic work. I especially like the fine detail in the cockpit. Usually we ( I ) emply techniques that result in something that create an illusion of reality (drybrushing edges of boxes for instance) but looking at that cockpit I dont see that. To me it looks like the real deal - just shrunk. The stitches, the leather on the chair...

And the finish on the exterior is superb too. Restrained weathering but very realistical.

Wow - just wow !!

I think I need to do a DVII with the amount of rigging I see here (or lack of...) - my LVG rigging is driving me nuts.

At first I read the headline as Anthony Fokker finished - now what the h... is that all about ?? :-)

Wolf,

Fantastic job! Inspired me to get back to work on my D VII, even though it won't come close to your quality and craftsmanship. Thanks for sharing and I hope you finish your Spitfire soon.
