who else supplies large vacform kits?

Recommended Posts

Afternoon all.

I'm having a bit of a frenzy with vacform kits and urging to buy another. I know 'Tigger' sells them and Combat Models, but are there any other companies out there that do any?

I'm looking for 32nd kits ideally...

Ta all,

Radleigh.

Don's model works makes 1/48 and 172 kits, but has numerous other 1/32 kits available. The man that runs it is Don's son, as Don has sadly passed away. He has all the other kits, including 1/32, on this page-

As for other large vacs, whatever you cannot find via Tigger or Combat, you could always make your own!

Jack.

Not quite sure, ideally wanted a list to scroll through and see what took my fancy! I really want something different from the 'norm'.

I quite like WW2 twin engine bombers, so I've been eyeing up the Invader etc on Combats site!

Cheers for the link,

You've got me thinking about making my own, it's just the time of making the aircraft in balsa! I'm sure I could do it though.

Hi Radleigh

Have a look at LSP's very own large scale kit database.. Here's the link http://www.largescal...st/kit_list.php

All you have to do is select vacform as the medium in which the kit is made (top row to the right hand side), then click on submit. I think it pulled up 300+ kits. Do bear in mind though that many of these that aren't Tigger/ID or Combat will be oop and only available as second hand.

Also (and I don't like to say this) beware of the resin detail parts that come with some of the Combat Models Vacs. These can be crude copies of parts from other models and less than accurate, some parts however, appear quite good (I recall many of the parts Christian got for his Ju 52 looking quite good) so - moral is to ask here if you fancy some thing to see if anyone has experience of the parts....

Hi Matt, cheers for the link I hadn't seen that before, but reading through there are a few kits there I would love to have a go at! 1/32nd C-47, F7F Tigercat and RB-57F Canberra! Maybe one day??

Regarding the detail parts, I'll be doing everything from scratch so I wouldn't buy them in the first place, cheers though! :)
