mywifehatesmodels
Looking GREAT! I may just have to build me a Stuka to go with my Hs 129! John Uncarina
Uncarina
More progress. I sanded the sirens off the Mastercasters Landing gear and the flat spot for the tires, then couldn't resist taping it together to see how things look. Oh, and added the Voyager spinner with the Quickboost propellors. Cheers, Tom tomv87 and kkarlsen

LSP_Kevin
Tom, looks good! I've heard that there are shape problems with the kit's prop blades, but hadn't heard any complaints about the spinner. Is it inadequate? Kev
Uncarina
Kev, Thanks for asking. I haven't read anything wrong with the shape, but the Voyager spinner has a little more refinement in detail, including rivets, and I was too lazy to make them. I would recommend against the Voyager prop blades, however, so if you opt to go this route I'd recommend getting only the spinner (unlike me). I'd heard that the Voyager blades were basically just direct copies of the kit parts. Doesn't really solve their issues much, eh? Uncarina
Another update. Kev, here's a pic comparing the kit spinner with the Voyager offering: Meanwhile, I realized that when I added the instrument panel, the clearance was tight enough against the sidewalls that the right sidewall gauges popped off and disappeared. Time for scratchbuilding! I matched the blue with the other gauges by adding white oil paint to Model Master RLM 24 enamel. I started work on the Kannons as well: Cheers, Tom Edited May 8, 2016 by Uncarina tomv87
Guest
Tom, are you planning on using any Eduard's bits, especially on the cannons ? Everything is shaping up wonderfully !.........Harv
LSP_Kevin
Thanks for the spinner comparison Tom. Not a lot in it, really. Your build is shaping up very nicely! Kev Uncarina

Learstang
That cockpit looks great - nice choice of aircraft too with the spats removed and the winter camouflage! I have a thing for Eastern Front winter camouflage, as you can see from my humble avatar. Regards, Jason Uncarina
Uncarina
Thanks, everyone! Harv, I used the Eduard interior set but held off on the exterior set. Next I'll have to scratchbuild the shell ejection chutes and add some odds and ends. Looking forward to adding some paint! Cheers, Tom
Guest Nigelr32
This is a great looking build. Do we have paint yet? I love the look of a Stuka in shorts...
