BarryWilliams
Forgot to mention - its the Trumpeter kit - probably the best engineered model I have ever built and I do not exclude the Tammy Mustang from that, pity about the dreadful decals though! LSP_Kevin
Nice work Barry. I have to confess that I didn't know the USAAF used the Dauntless! Kev
BarryWilliams
They were not a success in Army hands Kev. Apparently they observed how well Stukas worked in the hands of the Germans in their Blitzkrieg across Europe and decided to get some dive bombers opting for a version of the Dauntless. The problems they faced with them was the same one the Germans faced when the Battle of Britain phase of the war started, too slow and vulnerable to fighters. LSP_Mike
Nicely done,Barry. I'm sure many will look at your kit and comment on the "unusual" paint scheme. Definetley one of Trumpys' best in 1/32! DaneBramage
LSP_Kevin
Good to know it's such a good kit too. I'll have to track one down. In the meantime, I've got the Matchbox kit to contend with... Kev
