The rod-type items holds the rear canopy to the rear deck. .

these parts contain a spring which pushes the rear cockpit when the pilot jettison the canopy and the locking pins are at the base of the rear canopy. the jettison handle was on the left side.

it is fine work of détails

Brother XOPCT, my apologies for not responding.  I imagine you have guessed that up until now nothing new had been going on.  In spite of the Rex build, the Mustang painting, stripping, painting, and stripping again I've had a chance to do a little painting and paint distressing.

Still plugging away.  Trying to clear my paint booth this year of all that's been accumulating.  As you can see by my signature, it's a lot!

Primed, aluminum, clear gloss seal,  50/50 top coat/white, then 100% top coat.  Distressed panel lines with scalpel and panels with 3200 sanding pad.  Gloss coated.

The same.

Yellow is fresh today, no gloss.

Thanks for looking and liking.

Thank you, Ed.  Scratch-building can be fun.  Especially when it works out.

My favorite Martin!  Thank you, Martin.  When there is so much time between posts it's easy for things to get lost.  At least for me.  I am grateful to the moderators for introducing the 'Content I Follow' listing.  Without that I'd never find my builds.  I guess I could use my signature index.

Thank you, Totalize.

Thank you for looking and liking.

Sincerely,

Mark
