Tamiya's F-16 built as a block 25

Indeed, I too have liked the Griffins tail markings- some of the best of the ANG.  Did they continue the Griffin art on the F-15 tail?

Haven't been up close to them yet, but it looks like they've got a smaller version. On the overall darker scheme, it's a little harder to pick out. Next time I'm out at the airport I'll check and see how big the artwork is.

Just seeing this for the first time; wow, super job on the finish and basics. This kit is just fine OOTB.

One thing though, any reason why the LEFs are partially down? They are typically 2 degrees nose up on the ground. Nomatter though, as this Viper is quite Impressive overall.

Hi Mike, thank you so much for the kind words on my build!  As to your question about the LEFs, there is one reason they are down:

Builder error LOL.  Yep, it was my fault!  Tamiya molds the tabs for both LEFs up and LEFs down on the parts, requiring you to cut off the tabs you don't need.  Well, I accidentally cut off the wrong ones.  On the Block 50 I built here, I was very careful to make sure I removed the correct tabs.  I also bent them a little more, as they looked too level, and I really wanted to capture the "up" look to them.

Good catch on noticing this, and thank you so much for looking in and commenting.

Was curious, but I see. Yea, those LEF tabs can be  PITA.

Again, amazing finish and your F-16CJ, NICE also.

BTW, how do you do your photography and lighting. You take nice photos.

Hello Mike!  Thanks again, means a lot coming from someone who lives and breathes Vipers... This particular model I thought would be the death of me, with having to paint, strip, paint, and strip again.  Didn't think it would ever be done.  Started the Blk 50 during the build, and almost finished that one first.  As for the photography and lighting, I use a simple card stock sheet as a base on the spare bed in the model shop, with a home made light rack made of PVC tubing to hang four cheap hardware store lights onto.  Camera is a Nikon D80 on a tripod, stock lens which took a long time to figure out how to use.  Girlfriend gives me a hard time whenever she comes down to the shop, says the rig set up over the bed makes it look like a porn studio LOL.
