LSP_K2
very nice seat, kevin . i just ordered the yefim gordon mig 21 book and see a croation plane in my future (got the decals too) If you're referring to the book below, yes, it's a great general purpose reference on the Mig 21's. For out and out details on the MF series however, I'd heartily recommend the Wings & Wheels book on the MF. Wings & Wheels They'll also be going a Mirage 2000 book soon. That one is at the very top of my "must have" list.

Everything from the early prototypes, Chinese variants, Bis, MF, two seaters, and so on. But the W&W publication is specific to the MF and UM. It's really loaded with fantastic details; especially relevant to a detail hound like you.
LSP_K2
I've discovered a new (new to me anyway), method of painting smaller details. I'm using a small piece of stretched sprue to add tiny blobs of paint where needed/desired. Seems to work OK. It's quite cool here today, so I've postponed doing outdoor stuff for a couple of days. Seat given some washes, and dull coated. Comments?
LSP_K2
Obligatory weld seams and fuel filler caps added to centerline tank. There are also many spot weld marks on the fins, but I doubt I'll try to reproduce them. I used red sprue for the seams to help myself actually see them. I've used gray on gray in the past, and that doesn't seem to work too well for me. I'll probably also fill the over sized pylon mounting slot and add lifting hook pads to tank.
