Gee, I was only 11 at the time. I vaguely remember the photos back then but everyone and everything has their time in the sun and then it's gone.

11/12 , Hmm , I was 5 months old.. 58 was a pretty decent year ,

 

BTW the USS Enterprise had her keel plates laid on the 4th of Feb 1958 ... like I said a good year

 

As for the Phantom .. here's the greatest Postwar Western jet fighter of the 20th Century :beer4:

I was only 3 days short of being 4 and still turned wrenches on her.

...Only if the UK can have one as well for the EE Lightning (which first flew in August 1954 BTW)...:)
