automaton
I'm in with this: I used to think the I-16 was one of the ugliest planes that ever flew, but with time, the design captured my fancy. I also used to think of it as a mediocre design at best. However, while it was becoming pretty much obsolete by the start of WWII, in its heyday it was the most advanced fighter in existence (first cantilever wing fighter with retractible undercarriage). I'm possibly a bit overextended at present, but hopefully I can get this fat little fella done before the deadline. Regards; Automaton

Hubert Boillot
Nice one ! If I ever enter this GB (but I have other projects on the stove already, and too little, time for modelling ), this is the one I'd go for , with the Vector detail set (both waiting in my ever-growing stash) as one of the" Red 5" . TimW
Great choice! I have this kit as well as the later one that comes with Soviet markings and assorted resin/PE. Screams for some sort of diorama...just another thing to add to my "to do list!" Looking forward to this. Tim W.
