AndersN
Hi! I recieved my Silver Wings Gladiator and Hart yesterday I thought I'd ruin the Hawker Hart by converting it to the swedish built ASJA/SAAB B 4 Hart and take part in this lovely GB. This is what I have to do... B 4 colored in cyan. First thing I did was to make a copy of the nose. Thanks to this I now have a solid piece of resin to sand down to correct shape, which fits the cut up fuselage perfectly. Not entirely happy with the shape yet. And there's the Vector Pegasus engine. LSP_Kevin
Wow, ambitious project Anders! I'll watching this one for sure. I'd love to see an update on your Tunnan though. Kev

Hubert Boillot
Great project Anders ! (although adding a radial turned a handsome aeroplane into an ...ordinary vintage biplane, just MHO ... ) I'll be watching this one closely. Hubert.
Learstang
Great idea, Anders! Next you can do a Latvian Hind (although after doing this Swedish Hart conversion you may not be up for the Hind). I plan to do a Latvian Hind (in 1/72nd scale, sorry!) by combining the parts from an AZ Demon with the engine and decals from an Encore Gladiator. Yours should be a very interesting build indeed. Hi Hubert Yeah, I'll have to agree with you, I prefer the slim Kestrel engined Hart, but I want to do a swedish or finnish winter war swedish volunteer. Great idea, Anders! I do have to admit I'm tempted to forget about the Latvian Hind and just go ahead and do the Latvian Gladiator. Maybe this is a good excuse for me to get another Encore Gladiator so I can do both? AndersN
Hi again, not much to show really...but several hours work. Removed and filled rib detail and holes. Scribed new panels and began building the machinegun fairing with putty. Anders

Learstang
Of course it is You know you want to I just looked up the Latvian Hind profile in Mushroom Hart book, and it belongs next to the Gladiator Cheers My thought exactly, Anders. After all, the Hind needs a fighter escort, doesn't it? By the way, I'm reading that Mushroom Hart Family book right now - very nice, with lots of pictures, drawings, and colour profiles. Although you won't get to this stage for awhile, it says the upper camouflage was green and aluminium. That should look very attractive. In addition to the Latvian Hind, I also plan on doing the Swedish Hart (in miniature - 1/72nd scale), so I'll be very interested in your build. Learstang
Great project Anders ! (although adding a radial turned a handsome aeroplane into an ...ordinary vintage biplane, just MHO ... ) I'll be watching this one closely. Hubert. You are correct, of course, Hubert. Somehow, though, I think the Swedish version, especially with the skis, has more character. To be honest I like all the Hart series. If you want a strange looking Hart - look at the Persian Audax with the P&W Hornet engine. Instead of the handsome aeroplane the Hart was, it looks like the b*****d offspring of the O3U Corsair and the Hart (I would attach a picture, but Photobucket is having problems right now - here's a link to a page that has a picture of one - http://www.artiklar.z-bok.se/Iran-2.html). Sorry Anders; I don't mean to hijack your thread, but the Hart family has always been interesting to me. AndersN
Sorry Anders; I don't mean to hijack your thread, but the Hart family has always been interesting to me. No problem This is my first Silver Wings kit and I must say the casting is excellent. Minimal cleaning up required, took me less than 30 minutes to clean up the entire cockpit. That's what I could spend on a singe part on a "regular" resin kit. Cheers

Regards, Jason Exploring my photobucket could turn out interesting for those into swedish Harts...Beware the pit isn't complete. http://s759.photobucket.com/albums/xx232/nerdanders/Walk/ I believe AZ Models has a swedish B4 in 72nd? No idea on quality as I'm only interested in 48th and 32nd scales. Cheers
