You just try to get everything exactly like you envision it, but it never does turn out exactly like you saw it. But pretty close. You're way too hard on yourself Brian. Looks terrific to me! Besides, you can always add a bit more weathering to it if you feel it needs it. Kev

Im not usually too rough on my own work, but in this case I was just not sure it wasnt all just too much. The props really great, just the right amount of weathering imho. I tried that with oils for the first time, masking that line off round the spinner. Now I know why people use them. Drying time sux, but they def work differently than any of the washes do. Always nice to hear kind words, especially in a case like this, where I do like the result, its just (again) on one side or the other extreme for weathering. Got the wings together and buttoned up, now comes the more unpleasant task of seam filling and sanding. Yuck. Necessary evil but not fun to me. Cheers, Brian

Turns out if has a very safe ( and very waterproof) fish tank style pump int it that is made to be submerged. B Edited March 23, 2011 by Out2gtcha
