Looking very good Brian, looking very good!

Thanks Phartycr0c...........yeah Im still not 100% on it yet but do like it. You just try to get everything exactly like you envision it, but it never does turn out exactly like you saw it. But pretty close.

I just seem to be going to one extreme or the other, when it comes to weathering lately.

Cheers,

Brian

With me being my own worst critic Im torn between really liking it, and heaping it in the circular file......

You're way too hard on yourself Brian. Looks terrific to me! Besides, you can always add a bit more weathering to it if you feel it needs it.

I like the prop/spinner, especially the bare metal bit at the spinner tip. Looks pretty realistic!

The props really great, just the right amount of weathering imho.

I also think the really subtle oil/grease streaks from the joint on the spinner really

give it a really nice look.

Thanks Doug. Im not usually too rough on my own work, but in this case I was just not sure it wasnt all just too much.

Thanks man. Mucho appreciate. I tried that with oils for the first time, masking that line off round the spinner. Now I know why people use them. Drying time sux, but they def work differently than any of the washes do.

I think it looks great!

Just the right amount of wear so far.

Im also very partial to dirty dirty birds.

Thanks Shawn. :D Always nice to hear kind words, especially in a case like this, where I do like the result, its just (again) on one side or the other extreme for weathering.

Got the wings together and buttoned up, now comes the more unpleasant task of seam filling and sanding. Yuck. Necessary evil but not fun to me.

Cheers,

Brian

I have now installed a relaxing calming agent for myself in the model room to help me when things get frustrating. I think EVERYONE needs something like this............love the sound of running water.......

Great work on the prop and spinner, and you certainly shouldn't judge it too harshly until it's mounted on the completed fuselage. OhhhhhMmmmmmmmmmmm.....

LOL! I wondered the same thing when I was first given it by an X GF. I do like it but was not keen on electrocuting myself. Turns out if has a very safe ( and very waterproof) fish tank style pump int it that is made to be submerged.
