PhilB
Nice to see you sorted out the flat coat Loic! As far as a long term solution you may consider the Model Master enamels. I have been totally converted to their clear coats which I mix with their lacquer thinners. It dries in minutes. I use their gloss as a base for decals and their flat and satin coats as a mix for the final sealing coat. Might be worth a try. Looking good mate! Loic
Hey guys, thanks a lot. I will have a look at those flat coats For th etime being, here is a few pics of the "add dirt to the bird" process. The lost subtle effects do not really show on the pics (ie under the main fuel tank, etc...) but you get the main idea I guess. Hope you still like it and thanks for following Cheers, Loic

Loic
Hello guys, I promised an update so here it is So, I mainly worked on the bits and pieces lately and managed, little by little to progress the build. There is not much to say but there are loads of pics Please keep in mind that most pieces (windscreen, etc...) are not glued yet, they were just laid down for the pics so there is still some work to do and the pics did also show me some things that I did not notice but need some work. Anyway, enough talking, here are the pics : ...

Loic
... Some of the above but in B&W I like those B&W shots plus I tryed to shot the pics in a maner that it could have been done by a 54mm photographer... trying to somehow replicate the "real spitfire" pics... you will make your mind about it guys. Once it is completed, I will shot some more with a proper background. Hope you guys still like it and any comments are welcome as usual. The black and white photos really look the part, I used the same technique on my malta 109 diorama and its really great! Nearly there mate! (We gotta get out of here anyway before those Phantom lot take over! ) Phil
Loic
Thanks a lot my friend. I love B&W pics, they allow you to compare your model to the "real thing"... or at least the "vision of the real thing" we usually have. Not quite flatering most of the time but at least instructive I too have noticed about this phantom menace...
