Deliberatley dirty to represent a "long-in-the-tooth" workhorse. Markings painted on using Miracle Paint Masks - am finding these more and more user-friendly. I thought your p-47 and Mk1 Spit were the opitimy of modelling..................this Mk-IX is truly a masterpiece, WOW.
