cipher74
Hi, Is it me or doesn't regular kit glue work on 21 st CT kits ? It looks like plastic but doesn't glue like it. Tenax 7R and Amroid Pro Weld also works nicely. I used both and CA glue as well. D
KOTR
Kibri liquid plastic glue #9996 does the work for me. Might be easier to get in Belgium than Tenax or Pro Weld.
LSP_Kevin
I have no idea what kind of plastic the 21st Century kits are made from, but it's definitely not your garden variety polystyrene. It feels more like a cross between ABS and polythene. Really strong liquid cements will indeed be effective on it, but most other types less so. I found Tamiya Extra thin only marginally effective, and switched to using CA (super glue) instead. Kev
maverick728470
Erwin, The only glue that will work on the 21rtC kits is super glue and a hardener. As for the plastic. One could compare it to the plastic as to the plastic straws one uses for drinking out of a take out from a gas station we use here.May sound strange. But some plastic has a different type of polyurathane formula as to the smoothness of the plastic.Larry
tomp.
The plastic is ABS. The best optiona are CA and Proweld and I've had some luck with Tamiya extra thin. I use CA for filling the trench like panel lines for rescribing.
